What
we do
Teresa Kackert, President and owner has been training horses her
entire life. Owner and operator of a successful public riding stable
of over 100 horses for 15 years, a private riding school for 10 years and a wholesale tack store, now a TRIPLE Certified
Instructor, Trainer and Clinician, few in the industry can match
her credentials, experience and or her natural ability.
Teresa has competed in both english and western disciplines either
at the amateur or professional level. Now, putting all her skills and lifelong experience together,
she operates her Great Horses of America training and sales barn in San Diego County. She now offers a 'Consignment Sales service' clients from across the country!
Creator and founder of the trademark 'Soft Touch Training Method', Teresa's lifelong pursuit of equestrian excellence is now refined and available to all. Uniquely merging Classical Equitation with natural horsemanship fundamentals, she has achieved an ideal balance and trademark protected process for helping both horses and riders achieve the very best: always soft, always natural, always resistance free.
As a Certified professional trainer, she trains and or re-trains just about any horse. As behavioral specialists we can improve if not resolve just about any equine issue. As Confidence building experts, we can successfully improve and elevate the confidence level of just about any horse, rider or handler. As experienced horse sale professionals, we can tune up and find the best next home and family for a client's horse. The horses we represent and sell are placed all over America but primarily in the western and southwestern States. Our word of mouth presence and referrals are
growing every month. We often get a rewarding call or an email from a neighbor

or ponies. This is testament to the quality of horse and service

What makes us unique
Our equestrian philosphy and training program ("Soft Touch Training Method" TM) is based on a soft, natural touch, resistance free program, keeping
in harmony with a horses natural intincts and behavior. All our
foals, when we have them, are imprinted "on the way out" and when
they "hit the ground", even before mamma has her chance. Our colts
are started gently with age old resistance free methods. All our
horses in training receive the best of care and consisitency in
training handled only by experienced professionals.
Horses that only need a brush up or refresher
course are given one. We service most disciplines in the horse industry:
kid horses, ponies, family horses, Western Pleasure, Hunter/Jumper,
Reining, Roping, Cutting, trail riding, etc...We also travel the entire
United States searching and finding only the best "family
type" horses available. We specialize in providing
multi-talented, quiet, gentle horses with outstanding dispositions
that all or most all of your family can share and enjoy.
